What is Kidz Towne?
Kidz Towne is a gated miniature theme park operating by scheduled play-times, occasional walk in days, and regularly hosted events. When you arrive buzz yourself in and our receptionist will greet you. We ask that you remove your shoes, or cover them before going further. This is both to help keep the area clean, and to prevent wear on our padded flooring.
Now that you’re checked in, turn down Main street. On the right is the Town Park, Where parents will find coffee, seating, and WiFi available to them during the stay. On Main Street are a bunch of vendor themed stalls to play with, and on the left are each of it’s buildings; The Veterinarian, Nancy’s Diner, The Harvest Market, and the Towne Post Office
In the back you’ll find the Towne Center, with a clean washroom, Library, and seating for parties or events.

The dream of opening Kidz Towne came to me early in 2023. I had visited something similar with my grandchildren, daughter and my Mom - we all enjoyed it very much - especially my Mom. My Mom has since passed away - but her love of children and her happiness of playing with my grandchildren in a place like this - will live forever in my mind. I have dedicated Kidz Towne to my Mom. I know she would be so very happy knowing I opened a place like this.
I started looking around Wooster and noticed that there was nothing quite like it - so I started to make my dream a reality. The journey to make Kidz Towne was such a humbling experience. From family, friends and vendors who were so gracious to help me out.
I have worked in Business Operations for over 20 years. In this role I worked with many people to make the company's vision come true. It was really awesome - working with others to make my dream come true. I have learned so much and have met some really awesome people along the way.
I have probably thought about throwing in the towel a few times - but seeing the children play and getting to know my customers is so priceless for me. I will keep thinking of cool ideas to make the kids smile and want to come back to Kidz Towne.

Art has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I enjoy all of it!Painting, drawing, photography, and even some vertical carving and epoxy. Painting and art in general make my heart happy and it feeds my soul.
My goal in teaching this class is to nurture your little one’s artistic side and to inspire them to discover their own style while having fun with it. Each lesson will include a basic art skill, technique, or trick that will give them confidence in their own ability to draw and paint.
Your child will learn to blend colors to make new colors and simple guides to use when drawing. We will explore basic shapes and lines in nature to help them draw and paint landscapes. Finally, I will be incorporating some art history into the lessons by introducing famous artists and teaching them about the artist’s style. Children will get the opportunity to create their own masterpiece using these techniques. Seeing the joy on a child’s face when you hand them a paintbrush and some paints is priceless!
How the town came alive.
First I had to come up with a business plan. I decided I was going to use my savings to put into my dream. I am very thankful for all my family who have supported me on this venture. I grew up poor and having a chance to do something like this was never anything I would have dreamed of for myself. Every step of the way - my family has been my cheerleaders and sharing with the excitement to make this a reality. Special shout out to my fiance for putting up with me along the way. I am blessed with his love and patience to make my dream a reality.
After I had the business plan set - I started looking for a place where my town could be built. Not too far into my search - I met the wonderful woman - Katie - that is managing the building I am in now. She was so wonderful from the moment I met her. I can not express how very thankful I am for her. She has gone over and above to help me get my business and always has been in my corner routing for me.
Now that I found the building - I needed to figure out how to have it built. I first thought about doing it in plastic - but the cost was much more than I had in the budget. So then I thought - why not build it in wood. I called a few contractors and this was not something they had time or were interested in doing. But I did not stop - then I got in contract with Merle from Heartland Builders and he said he could help me. I was so very excited and worked with him to have the wonderful structure we have now. He and his workers were fast and very professional. I would highly recommend them.
After the building was finished - it needed to come to life. I was blessed to have my Niece - Veronica - and a good friend - Melena to help make that happen. Both very talented - saw my vision and made it become a reality. Veronica did the Park and selected the colors for the town. I can not say how impressed I was that in 10 minutes she selected the colors. Every color is so perfect for each store. Melena did the field with the beautiful tree and kites. I told Melena the story of my Mom and her love for kites so she painted the wonderful kites. She also painted a tree that was similar to the one we had in our backyard when we were children.
Veronica selected the colors of the town - but I had some wonderful women - Becky and Donna - who did an exceptional job painting the town. They were a pleasure to work with and I would also highly recommend them for any painting needed.
Getting Kidz Town off the ground - I needed someone to help man the desk while I was working my full time job. I was very blessed to have Tiara help me with this. From creating flyers, to coming up with ideas, working on setting up our booking system - I could not have done it without her. She will be missed at Kidz Towne working but will be playing from time to time. Luna is a VIP at Kidz Towne.
I also had help from a good friend - Jennifer - who would make time to make me flyers and coupons. She was always there with the excitement of helping me. I continue to run some cool things with her now. I am so very thankful for her support.
Final piece I am working on now is Marketing and getting the word out about Kidz Towne. I have met a really great Marketing guy - Michael with Foqs Media Solutions - who has been so helpful. He is helping pull my business together in a very professional way. I am very thankful for all the long talks and ideas that he has given me. I can tell he truly cares to help me make my business grow. I would highly recommend him.
